Shahzad Murtaza is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employability Network (YEN), and a recognized development leader committed to inclusive social transformation. He holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and an advanced certification in People Diplomacy and Human Rights from the University of New South Wales, Australia. His work focuses on empowering communities through innovation, strategic problem-solving, and people-centered approaches.
With leadership experience spanning over 100 large-scale initiatives and engagement of more than one million individuals, Mr. Murtaza has established YEN as a key driver of youth empowerment, safe migration, and sustainable development. He is dedicated to building a skilled and resilient society by promoting youth leadership, financial inclusion, peacebuilding, migration governance, and climate resilience.
He has actively contributed to global and regional forums, representing community perspectives in discussions on migration, reintegration, and human rights. His efforts have advanced safe migration pathways, countered trafficking and smuggling, and strengthened reintegration systems.
Under his leadership, YEN continues to deliver evidence-based solutions that empower youth, support vulnerable populations, and foster long-term, inclusive development.
